We visited the recently opened WOFL bakery in Jumeirah Beach Residence this week. Not only were we struck by the delicious (no exaggeration!) scent of freshly baked waffles surrounding the little building, but also by the bakery’s interiors.
We have seen our wood flooring installed in many different ways over our years here, but seeing our Kährs Oak Cornwall installed with graphic hexagonal tiles was so interesting! The combination created such a beautiful look.

Nordic interiors have always been associated with minimalism, but this year we’re shifting away from the previous all-white/monochrome to a more warm kind of minimalism. One that embodies earthy tones, erasing the lines between the indoors and outdoors; creating beauty in the contrasts. A new Nordic.
Seeking inspiration from nature’s own colours in sand and greys contrasting to whites and blacks, and combining diverse textures and materials – rough against smooth; shiny against matte. Work with layers to create a harmonious, cozy and inviting feeling.
Our Floor of the Month for March is Alloy by Kährs Harmony Collection, which has the perfect warm grey hue. It is stained in a light grey with underlying earth tones, that works well as a base for a variety of interior styles. The sapwood elements breathe life and variation into the surface.
Here’s a sneak peek from this morning’s photoshoot at our client’s villa in Nadd Al Hamar (Dubai), where we have installed our classic 3-strip Kährs Oak Siena wood flooring throughout the entire home. We’re very excited to show you the finished photos!
The villa has been fully refurbished by the homeowner, who himself is an architect. The villa has a large influx of natural light, thanks to the large windows, open spaces and use of bright colours, light-reflecting materials and neutral furniture.
Stay tuned for all the pictures coming to our portfolio soon.
