Ranges Overview

All Kährs wood flooring is based on Kährs patented parquet flooring technology and is made up of multiple layers.

The multi-layer parquet structure makes the floor more even and stable than with solid flooring, even when temperatures and ambient humidity vary according to season. Kährs patented its parquet technology in 1941, and has since been using it in all its wood flooring ranges.

Nordic Homeworx has a team of professional installers who are continuously trained in-house in Dubai and by Kährs installation experts from Sweden. We use Kährs recommended tools and equipments for our installations.

Should you wish to install your own floor it is very easy. Nordic Homeworx can offer both its residential and commercial clients in-house training to obtain the Kährs installation certification.

Board Pattern

The appearance of any wood floor depends on a number of factors, such as the wood species, grain, knots etc. Each tree offers a variety of colours and structures, allowing us to produce wood floors with many different appearances, according to how the wood is cut.

GRADING

Calm or Rustic. Natural graining and colour variation. Gnarls and knots. Uniformity. The character of the wood is just as important for the overall impression of the floor as the size of the strips. Kährs long experience in sorting by appearance enables us to offer floors with a multitude of looks and styles.

Surface Treatment

Kährs offers three types of surface treatment: silk matt lacquer, matt lacquer and Nature oil. No matter which one you choose, your floor will be ready to walk on as soon as it is installed. All Kährs surface treatments are solvent-free. In 1984, Kährs became the first flooring manufacturer to implement an entirely solvent-free production process.

Joint Systems

Kährs offers three different joint systems depending on board construction.

HARDNESS

A combination of the wood’s structure and hardness determines how durable the floor is. The hardness of the wood varies according to species and is measured using the Brinell method.
